One my favorite places in England , breathtaking scenery with glorious views to Lundy,  a must for anybody visiting North Devon .

And you can see why the BBC in 2007 used Blackpool Mill Cottage for the play Sense and Sensibility.

It is within easy reach of Exmoor and Dartmoor, the rugged beauty of Hartland, with its Abbey, the famous cobbled streets of Clovelly, the unique water-powered cliff railway linking Lynton and :Lynmouth, and a boat trip to lundy island.

Clovelly - One of the most picturesque fishing villages, steep cobbled street lined with lovely old white houses descends 400ft to the harbour in a series of steps.

Other activities. In inclement weather you can visit the world renowned Dartington Crystal Factory at Torrington, museums at Barnstaple and Appledore, and an art gallery at Bideford. Barnstaple and Bideford both have weekly Pannier and Craft markets. There is also a large Leisure centre at Barnstaple, with an indoor swimming pool, and several theatres and cinemas locally. For children there are a large number of all weather attractions including the award winning Big Sheep and the Milky Way. There are several excellent pubs and restaurants catering to all tastes within three miles, and easy access to shops and supermarkets.
